John Rabou's exhibition at the 'Museum of American Illustration' New York

In 2008, John was commissioned to create series of four illustrations in the style of the Bayeux Tapestry depicting the battle of Vlaardingen in AD 1018 where the poorly armed Frisians defeated the German Emperor's army, leading ultimately to the creation of an independent Holland.

He submitted the resulting images to the Illustrator 51 competition and they have been selected to hang in the exhibition of Sequential Art at the 'Museum of American Illustration at the Society of Illustrators' in New York from 7th to 24th January 2009. They will also be appearing in the Illustrator 51 annual to be published in Spring 2009.

If you won't manage to get to New York to see the exhibition, you can see John's winning entry ***here***.

Zara Slattery

Lots of new work from Zara Slattery

Zara has worked on a variety of interesting commissions recently and created some lovely new illustrations that we have used to substantially refresh her portfolio.

Please take a look at her imaginative interpretation of the story of Cinderella for the Nigerian market and her historical illustrations of characters from Hackney in Tudor times as well as new pieces depicting the impact of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster in 1986 on the citizens of the city.

Martha Hardy

Martha's Ethiopian experiences.

Over the last couple of years, Martha Hardy has been visiting Ethiopia for business and pleasure and has been recording her experiences in her sketchbook. You can see some of the illustrations she has created in her portfolio here.

So if you are looking for an illustrator with first-hand knowledge and experience of East African culture, please get in touch.
